Making an Apron

I decided to work on an apron as my first project with my new sewing machine.  So the very first thing that the directions tell me to do is make binding! Wow! That was very tedious work.  Like I said earlier, I mainly work on blankets and hadn't ever done binding before.  But with the help of a few blog sites and my mom on the phone, I finally got it made and even got it sewn on the fabric.

Now it definitely isn't perfect, but I did it all by myself and I learned from the mistakes that I made.  The next time I try sewing on binding, I won't be so intimidated!

Binding can be a huge pain in the butt! It does add so much to a project though and worth the effort.

Yea I found out even more tonight how much of a pain in the butt it is! I probably should have made the binding wider since I am still learning how to do it. Just have to keep working at it!
